Sophie Ball graduated from University of the Arts London: Wimbledon College of Art, in summer 2017 with a BA HONS in Fine Art Sculpture.

Sophie focuses on communicating narrative to the audience through her immersive sculptures. Sophie explores different narratives from mythology and folklore to reality in present day. Scale is important to her work, Sophie wants the audience to be able to physically engage with artwork, often creating large scale installations which the viewer can go inside or walk amongst. Sophie works with a range of materials depending on the concept and intended use of the work. Her bigger sculptures are formed from welded metal which creates a base to build her vision upon. Previous works have finishes including limb plaster casts, as well as intricate tissue paper and wire detailing.
